Justin Solamillo started at Alberta Culture and Tourism’s Community Development Unit supporting voluntary and non-profit groups affected by the 2013 Southern Alberta floods. His background is in community organizing and engagement, program development and coordination, and facilitation and training.
Justin has a Master of Social Work degree specializing in International and Community Development from the University of Calgary. Highlights in this area include experience with the International Federation of Social Workers, and their role in the Non-Governmental Organization Committee at the United Nations in New York. Originally from Vancouver, Justin also has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology & Family Studies from the University of British Columbia, and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Victoria. Foundations in these areas helped him work and support military families and youth during increased deployments in the early 2000s.
Justin is a foodie, loves to play sports and is an active musician.
