Syl Bellefeuille has been the Coordinator of Medicine Hat Family Services (MHFS) since 1999. Over his career, Syl has had extensive experience in the field of Social Services including Child and Youth Care Worker, Director of Residential Services with Medicine Hat Association for The Mentally Handicapped, Client Services Coordinator with Persons with Developmental Disabilities and now Coordinator with MHFS. He also teaches three classes in the Child and Youth Care Program at the Medicine Hat College.
In addition to his profession, Syl is actively engaged in the community. He has 10 years serving on the South Region Persons with Developmental Disabilities Board and is an active participant with the Medicine Hat Domestic Violence Coalition. Since 1999, Syl has been a member of the Sunrise Rotary Club. He also enjoys volunteering with United Way and racquet sports such as squash and tennis.
Syl has lived in Medicine Hat since 1983 with his wife Joanne and has two grown-up boys, Daniel and Eric.
